4 years on, and EH is much farther up the ranking; I think the boy has been taking lessons. Of the 9 who still perform, KRY still has the most unique voices and widest range, with my favorite also being the raspy smokiness of YS; HC has a unique casualness but but doesn't have quite the range of the three mains. LT and EH have a similar clarity and sweetness; SW is almost there but not quite. SD, while good, is still more rapper than vocalist though he has a lot of strength in the lower register. DH has gone so nasal that in some cases, he's difficult to listen to; at some point, he had sublingual braces, and I have to wonder if they moved his teeth and his jaw enough to change the shape of his face.

Most of the people on the list are/were contraltos. However, Karen Carpenter and Lana Del Rey were actually mezzo-sopranos commonly misidentified as contraltos due to richness in the lower register. Timbre supports the theory. When I was three years old, my father told me that Karen Carpenter was “an alto”, but later on when I researched what an alto was, I got four different ideas. The first idea that passed through my mind was that alto is between contralto and mezzo-soprano. The second idea was that alto was short for contralto. The third idea was that alto can be a choral part that encompasses contralto and mezzo-soprano voice types. The fourth idea based on what I read about the alto voice was that it was “one rung higher than a tenor” and “the equivalent of a male countertenor”. Which three of the four ideas are misconceptions?

Jeongyeon's voice is definitely betrer and more stable than Nayeon's. Nayeon is just more of an idol prototype. Not hating on Nayeon, she's great, but Jeongyeon's underappreciated :)

I love your analysis.Yes every BTOB members has their own specialities. For me as the non musical background: -Eunkwang very powerful and he can belting like he has 4 lungs🤯. Of course his runs and riffs which not many idols can do it. -Hyunsik also powerful, widest range in BTOB(if not in kpop), most stable vocals(all members agreed with this)💪🏻. -Changsub has the most unique/dreamy/breathy vocal tone,can switch from mixed voice to head voice easily🥰. -Sungjae has emotional voice, also suitable for pop/rnb. He also have powerful voice😍. Their rapline also one of the best in kpop bcs they have Minhyuk with melodic and fast rap, Ilhoon with melodic/ lazy and fast rap and Peniel with his western style and poetic rap 💙💙💙. Btw my most fav voice is Changsub's, I can listen to his voice all day long

I love Eunwoo because I know Moonbin did. However, Eunwoo is over rated as well as his dance. How Eunwoo has a solo career now, is rediculous. I feel like it was just for Fantagio to take away from Moonbin's passing. 2024 was Moonbin's year for Solo Album and career and I can see perfectly how AMAZING it would have been. Moonbin is full-rounded and PERFECTION, #1 and unique. But, I love all Astro and support all of them forever. ❤❤💜💜

I'm so confused about jeonghan voice, he just seems off to me, sometimes his voice seems so breathy and melodious but sometimes he just feels very off,, in their recent songs ( which contain dark songs / upbeat songs) his voice sounds like he just can't do better..idk what say.

TBH, ranking BTS as singers is an exercise for you as a singer but not relevant to their iconic status worldwide. Above all, it’s the lyrics and performance that matters, stupid! (Not meant to insult you but it’s just an expression to say I find your analysis is irrelevant overall).

I like your vid and I totally agree For me dk and sk are my fave voices in svt they are both stronge vocally(seungkwan is better with tech ) sungkwan voice suits balads(emotional and heavenly voice , he is the best in balad songs in my opinion not only in svt but in kpop due to his great tech)and I think dk's voice is all rounder(powerfull voice and can suits any genere,also one of the clearest voices in kpop,for me his voice control is great) they both stable when it comes to live stages actually all svt members I appreciate them sm ❤ and my boys are only getting better and better❤

I came back to this video after watching the BTS vocal ranking. Super Junior#13 is better than BTS #1. I love both groups but the truth is the truth.

I love them but they suck at singing. Jk is the best and he, compared to many kpop groups, he is average.

We may have different opinions in terms of ranking or rating our idols' skills, especially for K-POP groups like BTS. The other members' vocal ranking are okay, but not with Jin, V, and Jimin's. If I were this guy, I would either rank Jin and V 3rd/4th or tie them as 3rd much better, while Jimin is 2nd. Jimin has been hard on himself, and yes he did have struggles with his voice in the past, but I have seen some improvements lately, even before he made his solo debut in March 2023. If that's his opinion for Jimin, then I respect it. I am not being biased. Jimin is actually the 2nd best vocalist after Jungkook, and it's not Jin or V. Jin and Taehyung are just sub vocalists and they were usually placed 3rd or 4th. Jimin's voice cracks, instability, and that solo encore they used to hate him are just a coincidence.

Bro put V as the baritone icon n yet pur brendon as the tenor icon when in fact V has a naturally higher voice than Brendon who is baritone singing high😂 using mixed voice. I hope he doesnt become a teacher he cant hear mixed voice n he uses operatic classification of voices based on pop sounds with a microphone lol…complete disaster
